Sisters In Media, a new organization geared to inspire and encourage young women of color to pursue careers in media, is partnering with Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications to bring you WOMEN ON THE MOVE. Our panelists include Tai Beauchamp (The Tai Life), Tracy G (Sway In the Morning), Danielle M. Brown (Time Inc.) and Lilly Workneh (Black Voices, The Huffington Post) as our moderator. Attendees are welcome to engage with these specially invited guests ranging from radio personalities, magazine editors, journalists and media executives. The discussion will explore topics on race in media, career development, networking and the evolution of the industry, followed by a Q&A session.
From the trending hashtag Black Women at Work to the success of black women in media, this panel event will open up the conversation of the challenges women of color may endure in the industry and the hurdles they've overcomed.
