Tai Beauchamp is one of the media industry’s finest and most sought after style and beauty experts. A seasoned beauty journalist and editor, Tai is known for her savvy sense of style and ability to deliver of-the-moment, consumer-friendly tips.  Even more, Tai has an unparalleled philosophy that transcends mere aesthetics but speaks to lifestyle. “Whether people admit it or not, true style – not fashion – is part of everyone’s life.  It’s how one designs her home, where you dine, shop, lounge, and with whom. I want women to embrace and feel comfortable with that reality. It’s not what you do or wear but how. ” Tai says.

Ms. Beauchamp has a firm pulse on pop, prep and urban cultures and women’s lifestyle trends. Tai has a rare ability to connect with people across all demographics. How does she do it? Her keen eye for knowing what’s next (and now) and functional, paired with a love for design and sincere passion for empowering women excite her followers.

Tai began her editorial career at Good Housekeeping and Harper’s Bazaar Magazines. In 2000, she became a member of the beauty and fashion teams at the newly launched O, The Oprah Magazine. After three successful years at O, Ms. Beauchamp was recruited to serve as the beauty editor of what would become Suede Magazine. After a year with Essence Communications Partners and Time Inc., Ms. Beauchamp was recruited yet again – this time by Hearst’s newly acquired Seventeen Magazine. As Seventeen’s Beauty and Fitness Director, Tai was responsible for leading a department and developing exciting beauty content that put Seventeen’s 3-plus million readers at the center of its pages. With unprecedented regularity, real girl readers served as models, in many cases along side celebrities and models – a relatively new concept for teen print magazines. In October 2006, Tai was tapped to serve as Deputy Editor of VIBE Vixen Magazine where she directed an editorial and creative re-launch at the publication targeted toward young, trendsetting, urbanistas.

Tai was most recently a beauty and fashion contributor for women’s mega-site ivillage.com. Her blog Compacts & Vignettes on iVillage.com was a first-person peak into Tai’s boudiour. It was a hit on iVillage’s beauty & style channel.

A media-trained talent, Ms. Beauchamp has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine and Essence. She’s appeared on Inside Edition, The Today Show, Good Day New York, BET, CNN, The CW, TV One and NBC. She has also appeared as a beauty expert and spokesperson for Avon Cosmetics among other brands. She is regularly quoted in the media. Tai will make her reality show debut in July 2009 as a cast member of ABC Soapnet’s premiere episode of “Holidate.”

A humanitarian and social entrepreneur Ms. Beauchamp also consults with a New Jersey-based grant-making foundation devoted to youth development, global poverty relief, and the redevelopment of Newark, New Jersey. In 2007, Tai’s philanthropic work led her to start her own integrated cause-related marketing consulting firm, The BluePrint Group, llc. which focuses on bridging the gap between philanthropy and the fashion, beauty, and entertainment fields. Tai is stylish, savvy, smart, strategic and service-minded.

Tai Beauchamp earned a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Atlanta’s Spelman College and attended New York University’s Television Production program. When she’s not spotting trends, spending time with family, traveling, running (she recently completed the ING NYC Marathon) or mentoring young people, Tai sits pretty, inside and out, in New Jersey with her Jack Russell terrier, Abdul.
